Working again. Yay. Had to wake up before 7 am, which was bloody murser. Am not a morning person.

Hesari had an article about fanfic and about slash. Blaah blaah. I've never seen a good article about fanfic, and probably will never see one. But the article made me want to attend a con, so will definitely go to Finncon next year, especially if they'll hold it in Turku. [livejournal.com profile] mace_m, that might be a very good timing for yet another slashmeet.

Slashmeets! How I love them! Will have to think about something cool to do in August. Heh... We'll end up eating a lot, giggling a lot and I think at least someone will harass my cats. Great!

If the con is held in Turku next year, that would be a great excuse for having you guys over again! Do we need an excuse? I think not. I so miss you guys that it's pathetic. Could we not have that commune after all? ::whines pitifully::

I will volunteer for cat harassing duty. And I can think of someone else as well ...

Yes, I've noticed how the slashmeets have gone from 'let's meet again in three months or so' to 'can we see like next month? please???'.

Not that I'm complaining! I find the idea of that commune more appealing every day! Non-slash people can be so... aaargh!

But the con! I've never been to a con! Should go some day, especially if they have interesting topics or guests (even though have heard so many lousy things about actors I'm not sure I wanna spoil my character squee by meeting the idiots live...).

The mundanes are ... boring. And too caught up with trivial things. The more I meet slashers, the more I start to appreciate our "positive insanity". Our commune might be weird, we might get evicted a lot, and we'd undoubtedly fight about whose turn it was to do the dishes again, but we'd never, ever be boring!

I'd never been to a con before Fincon last year, and it was much less of a big fuss and less formal that I would have thought. The speakers were really interesting though. I just wish that the next time they have Fincon, there's be something directed directly to us slashers.

:D I totally agree about the mundanes! It's really annoying when I'm all squee about something and I get a *whithering* look from someone who'll accent the look with 'hey isn't being all silly about a *movie* like *so* passé?'

Of course there are idiot slashers as well. But fortunately you'll recognize them soon enough and then you can avoid them or something.

I've thought about going to a con, but haven't managed it yet. Maybe I should start with Finncon as well. Damn, I wish I knew where it's held next year. I'd also like to know just exactly what did they talk about slash and fic in general this year. :D

They held a fanfic(/slash) panel in Fincon this year, too? That would have been interesting to listen. Well. maybe we get our chance on a later date.

BTW, I'd like to reserve the same bedding for August's slashmeet as last time, if possible. Thank you!

I think they did, since they babbled about slash in that Hesari article. I'm not sure if I could listen to it without at least muttering darkly to myself, but it would be an experience...

Bedding reserved! :P
