Jul. 10th, 2004 11:21 amWorking again. Yay. Had to wake up before 7 am, which was bloody murser. Am not a morning person.
Hesari had an article about fanfic and about slash. Blaah blaah. I've never seen a good article about fanfic, and probably will never see one. But the article made me want to attend a con, so will definitely go to Finncon next year, especially if they'll hold it in Turku.
mace_m, that might be a very good timing for yet another slashmeet.
Slashmeets! How I love them! Will have to think about something cool to do in August. Heh... We'll end up eating a lot, giggling a lot and I think at least someone will harass my cats. Great!

Date: 2004-07-10 01:42 pm (UTC)I must wonder... That professor studying fanfic. I've never heard of her. It might have been interesting (and probably frustrating as hell) to listen to her lecture.

Date: 2004-07-10 01:48 pm (UTC)Not that I'm complaining! I find the idea of that commune more appealing every day! Non-slash people can be so... aaargh!
But the con! I've never been to a con! Should go some day, especially if they have interesting topics or guests (even though have heard so many lousy things about actors I'm not sure I wanna spoil my character squee by meeting the idiots live...).

Date: 2004-07-10 02:24 pm (UTC)I'd never been to a con before Fincon last year, and it was much less of a big fuss and less formal that I would have thought. The speakers were really interesting though. I just wish that the next time they have Fincon, there's be something directed directly to us slashers.

Date: 2004-07-12 04:37 am (UTC)Of course there are idiot slashers as well. But fortunately you'll recognize them soon enough and then you can avoid them or something.
I've thought about going to a con, but haven't managed it yet. Maybe I should start with Finncon as well. Damn, I wish I knew where it's held next year. I'd also like to know just exactly what did they talk about slash and fic in general this year. :D

Date: 2004-07-15 12:23 pm (UTC)BTW, I'd like to reserve the same bedding for August's slashmeet as last time, if possible. Thank you!

Date: 2004-07-13 05:31 am (UTC)About Finncon: do we know anyone who's attending this year so we could ask about how the lectures were?

Date: 2004-07-13 10:03 am (UTC)I don't know anyone attending. Maybe I should leave a small note on the damn suomi_slash community no one apparently reads. :D
