Spent the work night reading some of the best slash there is (by Android...) and watching Lion King 3 -Hakuna Matata.

Thoughts: I really really love good historical slash. Also, Pumba and Timon are so gay. Not kinda gay or subtext gay. They're the gayest of the gay. They have this huge romance, they adopt a kid (and Simba even calls Timon daddy) then they live happily ever after. Together.

I'm not writing any Disney slash, though. I'd like to read more Disney slash, but am not writing it.

Is it wrong to watch cartoons and think slashy thoughts?

You mean there's someone in the world who thinks Timon and Pumba are *not* gay?:)

You'd be surprised how some people live in denial... :P

I have no idea what you were just talking about, but I'm still disturbed. Cartoon slash just freaks me out. Odd, that.

Well, we all have to have some squicks... :) I don't know... When the Lion King came out years and years ago, there was this big talk about two of the characters being gay. Like... Two bachelors living together in a nice jungle are automatically gay. I didn't see it then (hey, I'm not a total perv!) but watching the movie last night was just too much.

They live together. Stare into each others' eyes while the music swells. They sleep together.

I find that great! A good role model to kids, actually. And I'm not keen on reading R rated fic about an animated boar and a mangust, but I wouldn't mind some happy POV fics...

I haven't seen the film, so I can't comment on the slashiness of it. But when ever someone mentions cartoon slash, I start thinking of how they will have sex (yes, I am a perv, so what?), and there just are some things too gross to contemplate...

LOL

Well, okay considering those two characters, I have to agree with you. It's one of those things you don't want to spend hours thinking of....

And I have nothing against pervs! Not a thing. :D

Disney Slash

Disney slash ? What a filthy, filthy mind ... How can you think such things ? In the clean world of children movies and Disney cartoons.
But come to think of it...What about the Jungle Book ? Baloo and Bagheera ?

Bagheera : You wouldn´t marry a panther, wouldn´t you ?
Baloo : I don´t know. Come to think of it, no panther ever asked me.

And that was 1966 or 67.
So, as for Timon and Pumba, of course they are gay !

Yes! I have a filthy filthy mind! And am loving it! ;D

You know, I'd rather watch two loving characters in a Disney movie than the awful violence in cartoons these days.

The Jungle Book is my mom's fav cartoon ever, and even she thinks those two would be a perfect couple. The funny thing is that in the Finnish spoken versions, Bagheera's been dubbed by a woman's voice at least once. I wonder if that was motivated by that scene...

And yes. Timon and Pumba are. They so are. And even if they weren't, they're still damn cute. :D
