Sweat and fandoms

sua_layWent to the gym. They have some new thingy called Pace, and I was all 'yay I can try anything once'. Turned out to be a very sweaty but nice thing, so will have to go again.
Yay me!
Read some Xfiles slash. Kinda like walking down the memory lane. It was a big thing when I started my slashlife. Dropped it like a hot potato a while back. Couldn't remember why. Now after a few fics, it all came to me again.
Nothing special. Just the little thing called canon. I don't care what fandom and what pairing. You have Alex calling Mulder Fox, Snape being cheery, Frodo flogging Sam (and not being under the ring's influence) or something insane like that, and your fic stinks. That's it.
On the other hand, have read wonderful AUs lately. Which were perfectly written in the 'take the characters to other settings' way they are supposed to be written and not the usual crap of OOCness and stupidity.
Should go and write now... Since promised myself to actually finish something during the vacation. rushes off
