Yours truly at the movies
Dec. 15th, 2003 09:40 pmWent to see Master and Commander last night with Mia.
Was impressed. I mean, really impressed. Of course was also extremely amused of the way Jack (yet another captain Jack...) and Stephen were so married. Way to go.
Also, was I the only one to keep an eye on Billy Boyd?
Haven't been to the movies much lately. Ignored the whole hooblah on Matrix sequels. Haven't seen any of the 'must see' movies. Did go to PotC, but that was a part of the London experience (i.e. go to see a movie in London to see if it's any different from home. Wasn't.). Also saw Love Actually, but that was because Pauliina forced me to. (and it had Alan Rickman, who is the god of love.
I don't know... To me, movies are a big thing. I like to go there to be entertained and thrilled and moved. I never go to see woodyallenesque babble movies. I like action. Not the 40 mins car chase let's see how many cars we can wreck and how big is the bodycount -action. But the great battles.
Maybe I should go to the movies more often.
At least next year will have lotsa historical movies and the third Potter movie. I guess I'll spend more time at the movies. It's bloody expensive, though. Am always tempted tobe a web pirate wait till they come on DVD... innocent smile
Oh. And watched the Last Samurai today. Good grief! For a 'am not gay' -person, Cruise certainly does the whole manlove in movies well. I found the whole movie extremely entertaining. Am a total sucker in such movies. Reminds me of my other all time favorite epics. The whole end of the battle scene had me crying and squealing.
And did I mention it was so damn gay?
Anyway...
Managed to go to the gym again. Have been kinda lazy with the whole thing lately. It's always kinda hard to go there, but I feel so damn good afterwards. :D At least I won't be munching goodies during the holidays (what holidays? I work on both xmas and New Year's) and will probably not be too yay about the ham at that time either.
Syökää kanaa!
