Yesterday was a weird weird day.

Couldn't sleep for more than 3 hours for some reason. That's rare, since am the queen of sleep. Was bored by 10 am, so decided to go to have some lunch with Mia. Had a great time babbling with her colleague, who is an insane LOTR fan. In the boring wholesome way, but still.

Then went to get my RotK tickets. You know, the ones Riikka's hubbie had reserved for me. Well. Turns out they had no record of that. Fuck! So now am not going to see that movie in the night premiere after all.

To tell the absolute truth, am not that disappointed. Even with the help of the lovely snowgrouse, it would have been a rough thing to watch that during the night and then trek through the dark and empty town back to the nest.

I'll watch it during the daytime, thank you very much. Am just sad I have to disappoint Krz. :(

Then to make me feel better, I went shopping. Walzed into Anttila, and voila! There was the TTT EE. Bought it, doing a lousy 'my preciousss....' impression. Seemed to amuse the clerks enormously.

dlasta took me to see 'Love, actually'. I must say I usually hate romantic comedies. That one was good, though. Laughed and cried. Drooled at Alan Rickman. Gods, I'm a perv!

Didn't even feel too bad afterwards. The reason I'm not a big fan of romance stuff is because it makes me go all 'no one loves me and no one has ever loved me and no one ever will', which is utter bollocks. Just hate myself when I wallow like that.

Anyhow...

Had to run after the movie, but still was late for my appointment with housemouse. She was kind enough to wait for me, even though I was an idiot. We had a great time scaring everyone in the cafe with our insanity philosophical discussions.

Must do that again. Slash people are just so nice!

Now am wondering if I should start suggesting dates for January slashmeet. I think we decided to have that in Turku this time.

Couldn't really sleep last night either. Weird dreams. I mean really weird. About an arab boy called Yossi I had to raise. Am still confused. Since I woke up at 4 am and couldn't sleep anymore, started watching you know what. Tried to sleep more after watching half the movie, but we all know how successful that was.

Will now go and finish the thing. Then to work. Stupid 13 hour workday...

Suggest away! I'll have to start taking to Mum about it, and I'm not looking forward to it. "You know, I was thinking of having these crazy Helsinki people over for a weekend. We're going to watch stuff, eat a lot, giggle a lot, and talk about gay porn. You know, that odd hobby of mine? No? Haven't I ever mentioned it before? Oops."

:D I should probably send everyone emails and see how many will come and when would be the best time. Even though I think most people have too much stuff to do about xmas to even think about the next year...

LOL @ your mum. Maybe you can distract her somehow. Like send her to meet an odd relative or something. That's the thing with mums. You can't just stuff them into the closet.

Emails might be a good idea, unless you have anyone on your friends list. I know that I don't have anything particular going in January (I'm fairly certain), so whatever weekend is fine with me. Maybe we could go and squee over ROTK?

As for Mum, unfortunately we don't have any relatives. But I might be able to encourage her to find a weaving project for that week, that we she would be gone for a good deal of it. Of course, there are other practical problems, like that I have one place for you to sleep but some very uncomfortable sofas and the floor. So, I guess you just have to suffer ;-)
