Why is it that staying up really late reading fic always seems like such a good idea up until the moment you have to actually get up a few hours later to go to work?

Or maybe I'm just very stupid.

But it was a work day! 8 hours of monster herding after 5 hours or so of sleep was definitely not fun!

It's because sleep deprivation correlates straight with the subjective feeling of fic quality :)

Well it wasn't so much about the quality of the fic as it was, but about me not wanting to waste my brain thinking about my latest insane ('nsane') popslash au war trauma fic idea and had actually found a long (read: LONG!) trickyfish fic that I just had to read through... Or am still reading through... Or something...

It was about trying to prevent more mental problems!

I am proud to say that I have finally reached the part in my adulthood when I can stop reading something when they start adopting puppies and babies and whatnot. :D
And it only took me, what, 15 years?
