early morning fandom freakout

Got up, all groggy, and checked the Psych eps I'd been getting to see if they're dubbed in Spanish or something.

And there was David Nykl. Speaking English with no Czech accent.

*freaks out*

That's just so wrong! I mean... Weird! He sounded like... a regular guy! And yes, even though I knew the fact that it's just Zelenka who has the accent, my mind went totally gaga.

Does this ever happen to anyone else? Also, where's all the good and epic Ronon/Zelenka?

Hee. The same happened to me when watching Eureka a few weeks ago. And I loved it. :D It was definitely weird, especially since the pitch of his voice was also different, not just the accent (I know this often happens with people who speak different languages -- some languages sound a little lower than others). But oh, I loved hearing his "own" voice for a change, not to mention see him in a different role. :) (Not that I don't love Zelenka's accent to bits. <3)

Also, where's all the good and epic Ronon/Zelenka?
I wish I knew. I've been looking for some myself. It's even more rare than Ronon/Carson, which is one of my guilty pleasures (started already when I saw The Runner, eh) and doesn't really even exist. Which makes no sense because come on! So um, if you happen to run into any, link us up, please?

I'd never seen Nykl in anything but SGA (well at least noticing who he was) and was now all stunned. :X He's just too adorkable for words!

And yeah, we should try to find good Ronon/Zelenka. Aside from McShep, it's about the only SGA pairing I like. Though I did read one Carson/Halling that wasn't totally sucky.

Sorry for the delay but I've been busy with random RL stuff. But now that I made my way over here -- Squee! :D Yes, there are others out here watching that lovely show. ;) Have watched it since the beginning and will continue watching it until it ends. I love those characters.

This is going to be a bit random, but why not. Mind if I friend you? Friends of friends are always good, and fannish ones even more so. ;) Plus fellow Finns... also good. Yes. No need to friend me back, though. My LJ isn't exactly fandom-only so I know it's bound to bore people. Wouldn't want to inflict that unto innocent people. :)

Absolutely won't mind if you friend me and won't be pissed should you unfriend me someday. My flist is teeny tiny and my journal...um, not that classy or interesting, really.:)
