To buy a permanent account or not to buy a permanent account?

*ponders pros and cons*

It's not that expensive, but I'm not sure I want to use all that money on LJ. But it would be kinda cool. On the other hand, I get 6 years of paid account for the price of the permanent account...

Hmmm... I'm also wondering about the whole hooblah last month and the deletion thing and the future of freedom of speech... Though this makes my head spin. Paranoia's really not my forte.

Well I just spent my euros in a brand new vacuum cleaner! O_O

But yeah, before that debacle I was all ready to shell out the money without a second thought. Now, I'm not so sure. Bah.

You know, there was a time when I actually thought I might like to buy one myself. But now when I think about it... there's just no guarantee that I'll be even interested in LJ in, say, three year's time. Lately it's been changing so much that I'm not always sure I like it where it's going. Like you said, this freedom of speech thing, the deletion and all, not to mention the "we'll never do this... okay, so we did" thing that happened with ads. Nobody can say what happens next.

So to pay 150 dollars for something that I'm not even sure is worth it? Nah. :) I'll just pay for the paid account features whenever I feel like it and see how it goes. Maybe it makes me a scrooge but I don't care. :) I guess I'm just not one of those long-term planners when it comes to LJ.
