I didn't actually see him die, ergo I have decided that it didn't happen. Pullo, coming back from his interview with Octavian, says, "He bought it." I choose to believe that he meant both the story about Ceasarion's death AND the story about Vorenus'. And then they retired and took the children off to live in the countryside, where they lived happily ever after. With much shagging.
