Today's con thing wasn't exactly as cool as yesterday's. There were less people, which was great, but I'd already been through all the booths and bought stuff! Also, the Xena panel was mostly crap.

Do we actually need discussions about 'is Xena queer'? Watch the series, idiots!

Queer in this context means more strange than gay.
They translated the word queer as uuskumma in the Finncon booklet but the word still defies translation. Something like; breaking the conventional categories/rules/genres, shifting the boundaries. Quite often making people feel uncomfortable and forcing new ways of thinking for the things we think we already know.
Maybe. I think. :D

Well in this context, the word is even more accurate than as it just meaning gay.

There are so many things they could have discussed about, something more specific with actual debate behind the issue. But nah. They went with something lame and kinda obvious and it's always a waste of time.
