I think I may have a love/hate relationship with SGA.

Had to stop watching it last season for a while when the storylines (OMG don't let Flanigan anywhere near the scripts again!) and totally lame kissing slash audience's ass (OMG I just hated Duet with burning passion) made me want to tear out all my hair.

Then didn't even bother to watch the season finale because frankly, I just didn't care enough.

The weird part is that I actually like the show. It just makes me crazy at times.

Watched 3x01 today (and the season 2 finale of course) and am now kind of hopeful about the series again. Or at least about my reactions to the show. Strangely, I don't feel like reading any fic from it.

Unless someone writes that epic Ronon/Zelenka I've been waiting for...

Now, someone should tell me that thinking about evil RPS bunnies with JDM and Jensen Ackles is wrong. Like... right now.

:) I sort of thought porny RPS thoughts weren't considered wrong....

And I have no idea why I'm feeling so ambivalent about SGA. It's definitely a good sci fi show, and I like the characters. Well, most of them anyway. Rodney is absolutely my favorite character, even though Zelenka comes as a close second.

Guess I just like geeks!

OMG I just hated Duet with burning passion
Omfg what is wrong with you?! :D You're the only person I know who didn't like the episode, and you're a slasher... My brain can't compute something like that. ;) I liked it a lot myself. Not the bestest episode ever in the history of SGA, but funny and cute and I liked the kiss. Most of all I liked Carson. :) Okay, I always like Carson, but you know. He was extra adorable in that episode.

Ronon/Zelenka? Is there any canon basis for this one, or do you just like the idea? Personally, I'd love to see more Ronon/Carson. Their first moments together just made the pairing click for me. Ronon/Zelenka seems like a fascinating pairing, though, and I'd definitely give it a try.

Also, JDM and Jensen? Not wrong. JDM and RPS together is never wrong. Because omgyesss.

Guh! Duet was just so fucking annoying! It felt like the PTB were making a half assed nod towards slashers by showing this 'cool and daring' kiss between two characters who have a good friendship chemistry and nothing more, so that maybe now the fucking pervs will stop thinking Sheppard and McKay are so fucking gay together.

No, I didn't like the kiss either. Especially the way McKay reacted to it afterwards. It would have been okay if he'd ranted about the kiss or been angry, but he was just kinda... blaah.

And of course it was *not* gay at all, just a woman in a man's body so like... Aaaaagh!

I think I just like the idea of Ronon/Zelenka. I like them both separately, and I have a few bunnies about a longer fic about the them.
