(no subject)

Haven't read a lot of snarry lately, 'cause I find it annoying. The same happened to me while writing Scar Tissue. All the other Methoses just bugged me.

But yesterday ladyria recced me a fic and I kind of had to read it.

And it was good. Not too much explaining the whole thing, more letting the reader actually get the plot thing on their own. Snarky Snape. Adultish Harry. Was actually all yay.

Until the end. Where the fic just took a nosedive and landed face first in the mud.

It's the saddest thing in fic; when a good fic ends abruptly or goes on and on and becomes totally stupid. When the beginning is excellent and then pfffft.

I know it's so awful! I was reading one that was getting so good...and then it was like it switch authors or something or just ended it was soo terrible. I hate it! soooo you are writing a snarry? *g*

It was kinda like that with this fic as well. It changed tracks or something and then kind of crashed and burned. Farewell fic. It was nice while it lasted.

And me writing snarry? *bats eyelashes* Maybe just scribbling something small...

It was actually a question?? I thought that 'is sua_lay writing snarry' is as redundant as 'is Snape hot' or 'is Rodney McKay sex brain on legs'...

Not that I've been whining about da monster fic that has swallowed my life or anything. For the past three years....

I don't really know what went wrong with the fic. Suddenly it was just *off* and then there was sex and then an epilogue that annoyed the hell out of me.

I freaking know! I was like... whaaa, when I read the ending. Seriously dissapointing. I guess the author wanted it to be romantic or whatever, but I would have like snark so much better.

It sucked!

I wasn't too happy about the whole sex thing since it somehow made Harry feel a way younger than he was. Maybe it's just me, but I have issues with a teacher/student relationship evolving into romance where the former student is so.... innocent.

Also, the very abrupt end of the actual fic and then the epilogue... It just felt wrong. And if you have such trust issues after fifteen or so years of romantic relationship, you need a shrink.
