There were rules Johnny had always followed.
No cheating in a fight, no faking it. No being rude towards little old ladies. No falling in love, no settling down. No trusting anyone but himself.
He’d sworn to God he didn’t believe in to never slip from those simple guidelines.
They had served him well in life. At least until now.
Not that he’d start to insult elderly people now, but he was going to revisit his rules. Especially the ones about love and settling down and trust. Since he swore it to Rayden, he’d even have to keep his word.
