Am sort of watching U-571 before it's time to leave the house. The whole petulant younger officer - older and wiser officer thing somehow reminded me of the annoyance I've always felt watching these kinds of movies. Like Armageddon. Just once, I'd like the message to be that no, you actually won't save the day using your gut instinct and ignoring decades of experience.

*sigh*

It's raining, and I have to work, and I really don't feel like leaving the house. I have this weird AU idea playing in my head, and I certainly don't want to think about sir Ron, the earl of Weasel and his merry men any more than I absoulutely have to.

Err... Not that I want to encourage you or anything, but Earl of Weasel? Does that mean he made his fortune raising weasels? Does he have acres and acres of weasel farms? And does he perhaps have a blonde haired rival who raises ferrets?

And did maybe one day some of the ferrets and the weasels got out and had a party together resulting in the earl and said rival having to meet to discuss custody of all the future little weasels and ferrets.

Err...

I'm sure your idea is much better. At least I hope it is.
