Hi! *waves* Don't know if you remember me, we were having a fun discussion some time ago in sookail's lj, and you said "come on over to my lj if you want to continue it" and I totally meant to because it was most enjoyable but then RL got in the way and I didn't get to. *deep breath* Well, RL has finally calmed down and I'm catching up on everything, and I was wondering how your H/S fic was going. I'm also sorry to hear that your back is hurt and have sent the sexy men to give you massages and cook and generally be very nice to you.

Yes, I do remember you. :D Our discussion was definitely enjoyable and am glad your RL has calmed down enough for us to continue it.

Am still trying to make some sense about that damn Snarry fic. Every time I think it's going somewhere, I hit a dead end, or so it seems. But I guess that's only normal. Can't imagine what it's like for people who actually write books for a living. *shivers*

Just be careful! I tend to talk about that bloody fic so much that most of my friends seem to be avoiding me these days.

I know just how you feel, am having the same problem with my SS/SB fic. Plenty of notes and ideas, but it just won't come together! *sobs* Plus I was distracted by a plot bunny for a Narcissa/OFC and am trying to get that one out of the way before doing anything else.

The naked men got ideas from slashfic and are acting them out? *is insanely jealous* Can I watch? *hopeful*

I just wish I could finish the damn fic so that I could really concentrate on all the other bunnies. Two and a half years is really a bit too long to concentrate on one fic, no matter how huge.

The stupidest thing is, that I get distracted by other fandoms as well, so my mind is a great big blur of lots of guys shagging snarking at each other. Damn it!

And yes. You can watch. :D Just remember they're mine! (urges the guys to read more BDSM)

And I know what you mean about being distracted by other fandoms. I've just started watching Lost and not only is it one of the best shows EVER made (just saw the third episode where we learn about Locke OMG brilliant, I was in tears) but the Sayid/Sawyer slashiness just leaps out you and demands attention. Lots of it. Plus Naveen Andrews is just too gorgeous for his own good.

The worst thing about a new fandom is if there's absolutely no good fic about it. Then you start getting ideas and soon there'll be plot bunnies hopping around your apartment.

I've yet to find the greatness of Lost. Watched the pilot when I wasn't in the mood, and am now trying to find some enthusiasm to actually watch it again. So far no good. :D I guess I can only deal with one new obsession at the time.

Strangely, I need to watch/read/obsess about evil snarky guys these days. Whether it's House or Snape, I just can't stop loving these characters! There must be something very wrong with me.

Oh definitely watch Lost again, you will love it! I don't know what House is, it's not showing over here in Old Europe, but have heard a lot about it. Hugh Laurie rocks every single one of my socks.

And there's nothing wrong with you at all! Characters that have some depth to them are a lot more interesting and hot than boring 2D cutouts. (I'm just hoping JKR doesn't do something terrible to Severus, like make him secretly in love with Lily and that's why Voldemort told her to stand aside instead of trying to kill her.)

All right then! Lost it shall be. And I didn't know anyone in Europe showed Lost either... :D As a fellow European I have to use friends or illegal activity to see anything worth seeing.

Ahem...

I'm not going to say anything about characters with depth. Certainly, some of JKR's characters are as one dimensional as they can be, and you have to use your own imagination and wit to dig up the depth. Then again that's the yay in fanficcing, 'cause what would be the point to write about a perfect character?

You're in Europe too? Excellent! I'm in the Netherlands and they just started showing Lost over here.

And agreed on having to use one's imagination. Perfect people are boring and don't exist anyway :). I do love JKR and I wonder whether she's just having us all on... I mean, how can she NOT see that others see more in certain characters? There are so many hints and clues that there's more to some people than we realise.

Oh! I wanted to mention, you may like this comm that I help mod, it's called hogwartsrejects and we recently held a Giant Squid fic contest. There were ten entries, all of them very funny and well written. Now we're having a hideous icon contest.
