Two nights of reading Stargate fic, and I still haven't found one good fic. At this point I'd settle for a decent one.

Plot monsters this far:

- jack and daniel go through some father -angst together (involves alien kids)
- jack almost kills sam on a mission and then realizes he loves daniel
- jack almost kills daniel on a mission and then realizes he loves him
- they are stranded on a planet where a werecat -thing tries to mate with jack and daniel takes care of the now catatonic (heh) jack
- jack makes a funny example of daniel when an alien wants to hear about human mating habits
- everyone thinks daniel is dead (again)
- jack and daniel turn into 10 year olds
- an alien virus attacks jack
- an alien virus attacks daniel
- jack and daniel have to pretend to be gay and in a D/s relationship
- sokar drugs daniel and almost rapes him
- cronos uses a mind control device on daniel and almost rapes him
- osiris orders her jaffa to beat daniel and then almost rape him
- jack and daniel are stranded on a planet with monkeys
- jack isn't straight even though he is and he wants to talk about his feelings

You know, these stories are good for one thing. They definitely give me an ego boost...

More to come later on, I'm afraid. Am also thinking I should do this with other fandoms as well, even though wading through all the crap in other fandoms may cause me permanent harm.

It is very amusing to read about your tries in finding good SG1 fic's *snicker*
Tried it myself a year ago and was as succsessful as you are being right now.

Now to why I commented.

The one about stranded planet and werecat trying to mate with Jack sounded so ludricous that I have to see it for myself. To you remember the author and title? *snicker* It sounds almost as bad as the one where Jack is blackmailed into letting himself be raped by Daniel, Teal'c and I don't remember how many jaffas. And yes the fic has a happy Daniel/Jack ending *nod*

The desperate fic search is actually quite fun. I keep reading and realize that sheesh, this stuff is so bad it's almost art.

I liked the idea, but it was so badly paced I wanted to scream. Lotsa time spent describing useless stuff and then all the intriguing things like surviving in a new environment and the mental strain was rushed through. Also, it kinda ended stupidly even though it was a happy ending thing...

Oh dear gods, don't go anywhere near that fic! it was like... blah blah you have to be in a D/s relationship blah and then the good old 'a week later they were already behaving like that and jack acted as danny's lapdog'. Missed all the potentially interesting bits.
