The Passion of Mel Gibson
Oct. 19th, 2004 08:10 pmWas exhausted when I came home this morning, but spent an hour or so babbling with
wolfsbride anyway. Seems to me we're never online at the same time anymore. Stupid time zones...
After a few hours of sleep, it was rather annoying to get up. I could have slept for longer. Oh yes I could have.
I've been thinking I should probably watch Mel Gibson's latest movie some day. Not that I'm all that interested in the subject, but since it's such a controversial movie, I thought it would be kind of intriguing to watch. Managed to find a file with subtitles and downloaded it a few days ago.
'cause I ain't paying for crap. :D
I was actually amazed of the Passion of the Christ. It was weirder than I'd thought. There were lotsa characters whose suffering was touching, especially the ladies and I did like the main Roman guy (whose name was apparently not Pilatus, I assume. weird). The music was subtle and cool. The only thing I didn't really care about was the main thing. Jim Caviezel's Jeshua didn't get any sympathy. I couldn't have cared less what happened to him. The bloodbath made even me nauseous, and it was kinda like the movie 'Breed' where Adrian Paul dies and comes back, dies and comes back.
Well you can see it's not about my religion...
Am going to read something and then I think I'll go back to bed. I need my beauty sleep.
