Am once again downloading Hercules. No, it's not as bad as it sounds! I'm just burning with the desire to watch Michael Hurst in a dress. His Widow Twanky is such a charming character and I have a total girlcrush on her!

The episode where she and Herc dance is one of the funniest things ever.

There are lotsa things I'm thinking of doing tomorrow. The woman who created the cool cartoon character Nemi is signing her work. Then Mia wants to go to see the Village. And they have the Sexhibition again.

So many things to do, so little patience. Will probably skip the sexhibition, even though the chance of buying more leather accessories is kinda intriguing...

I don't know if you're familiar with this aspect of British culture, but Widow Twankey is a character that originated in the 19th century pantomime productions of Aladdin. The name is based on a Twankay, a popular green tea from China.

Traditionally, she's Aladdin's mother, and is always played by a man...

I don't know if they have pantomime in Australia, but I will say that Michael Hurst does an excellent Yorkshire accent in the role.

I'd heard something about Twankey (and I think Hurst has played her in Aladdin as well!) but had no idea what it was all about. :D

And Nemi is so cool! And the woman drawing it is cool as well! cradles her autographed album

I love it how Hercules is full of inside jokes. The best of all is the one where the crew of renaissance pictures is peeing in a line and whistling xena's theme.:)
