sua_layI'm quoting a certain fic here. Ron's delighted yell rang in the hallway. "Indoor plumbing! Thank Merlin!" He sounded so happy Harry had to grin at that.
At Hermione's questioning look, he muttered, "There was just an outhouse at the cottage." He sounded wistful. He missed even the outhouse with the smell and the insects and the magical light that didn't always burn as bright as you wanted it to.
They could hear the sound of the toilet being flushed, accompanied by another delighted yell.
Anyway, am back! The trip was nice. Monster kids weren't monstrous. The water was cold (around 10 degrees Celcius) but I went swimming anyway. Ate sausages with lotsa mustard and managed to even tan myself a bit.
A very fine camping trip on the Island of da Monster Kids. Will definitely go next year as well if possible.
Am happy to be home.

Date: 2004-06-20 09:11 am (UTC)Yes, 10 c is cold if it's sea water. And astonishingly, it did feel like a holiday, even though I had to nag at the Monster Kids all the time.
Been thinking... Maybe I should start posting the fic here sooner or later. Probably later. I promised myself I wouldn't post anything till at least 3/5 of the whole thing was finished and betaed, so it may take a while... :D
