What is it with IKEA anyway?

Went shopping there with my fav straight couple again. Managed not to buy everything in sight. Was weak enough to be seduced by more frames. There's something weird going on here. Nesting, I'd say. The need to buy a flat, the need to decorate. I sound like the cliched gay man here.

Watching the straight ones babble about how they fight sometimes and how bitchy my friend is now that her hormones do whatever made me reconsider my ages old 'wish I had a mate' thing. Seems to me it's awfully annoying to live with someone.

Oh well.

Am also once again irked by the good old 'am acting like a bitch because of the hormones due to the pill/pregnancy' excuse. No, dear. You act like a bitch because you are a bitch. The rest is an excuse. The thing is, I don't care if women use those hornonal thingies to win fights with their men. When they try to use that as an excuse to win a fight with me, it just won't work.

I really don't have to listen to the whining and ranting. After all, I'm not the one who doesn't get any if I make them angry. :D

Am listening to the Troy soundtrack. It sounds like James Horner hasn't had an original thought for a while. I do like the woman wailing on the background, but the pomp from Titanic annoys me. Also, housemouse was right. The resemblence to Stargate theme is uncanny.

However, unlike everyone else I've talked to, I actually like Josh Groban's song.

I love the icons. Will definitely grab a few. My Troy-craze seems to be worsening every day. Since I didn't go totally insane after seeing it, I'll allow the fangirlishness. Unlike with a certain other movie with misters Bloom and Bean that made me feel lousy for weeks.

Yeah, same here with the fangirl-feeling. I actually saw the movie yesterday night and the craze didn't hit right away, I just thought it was a good movie, but then I went and read some Hector/Paris fanfiction and now I'm suddenly in love with Eric Bana, and want to see the movie again, immediately! :)

Hmmm... The stories weren't bad plotwise, but I absolutely hated the charactarization. Not so much Paris' since he is a coward, but I definitely didn't see Hector like that.

Yes, I know what you mean. This author's Hector seems to be oddly angry and mad all the time, not what he was in the movie. I haven't read Iliad so I don't know what he was like in the book, but I guess his character was more like the one in the movie, since I've heard Hector is one of the more humane and likable characters, even if he's on the enemy's side.
