My mega huge work day (a meeting, then a night shift, another meeting, no real time to sleep for about 30 hours) is finally over.

Survived it barely, but am here.

The metros were late today, because of some man randomly whacking another man with an ax. A fucking ax! Like... What the hell is going on in here? You can't sit in the metro without some headcase trying to kill you.

I'm so damn disappointed at humans, it's not even mildly amusing anymore. Our history is one endless warfare, from tribal warlords to certain short European men with delusions of grandieur. We destroy everything we touch, the nature, each other. I'm not sure why we even evolved this far. Maybe Mother Nature has a weird sense of humor or something.

Now I feel an urge to rant and rave about wars and politics and stuff, but considering I'm about to fall asleep right here I'd better not. Maybe some other time...

What on earth is going on there? I read the news on Hesari's web page, and couldn't believe my eyes. Quite obviously there was something badly wrong with the guy's head, and that just makes me wonder about the mental health care in this country all the more. The answer to helping people with serious mental difficulties is not to close the hospitals and put everyone to 'open' care, where they can easier fall between the cracks, but actually having enough places and doctors to help these people. Because, when they don't get the care they need, bad things happen. Can our politicians not wake up to this fact already?

Hmmm... I wonder how many people go to politics because they're frustrated with the way our government deals with important issues. I also wonder how many of those people become just as blind to real issues in time.

Read that the man attacking isn't totally sane. Was all 'duh' at first, 'cause of course he's insane if he does something like that. But he'd committed other crimes, and wasn't convicted because he's mentally instable.

I really do wonder. They write pages of articles where rich people whine about the huge fines they get for speeding, but no one cares about topics like mental health care. Not until something like this happens. Then it's the big whatever of the week, until we forget again...

[really want to rant about this, but considering the fact that it just makes me mad, I think I'll just go to bed]
