dlasta gave me her tapes of American Idol season 7. Wasn't really convinced I'd like watching it, but thought I'd watch the first few eps today... Er... It's now tomorrow...

Eleven episodes later...

I can't decide who is my all time fav. I mean, yeah, I know who won and so forth and right now I think he so definitely deserved it. And no, this isn't just my enthusiasm for the D2. Um... Or whatever they're called in fandom. Are they called anything? Should someone know?

But... Er... Simon! And Ryan's a darling. And I still want just one good RPS fic about those two, without soulmates or Simon being nice or... Yeah, well I think I just described like 90% of the fic there...

I'm overusing the dot dot dot, right? Right.

Still blaming Dlasta for this. You rock, girl.

I have no comment on American Idol, have not watched 7th season at all, but I have heard DA's Crush, which I like. :D

David Cook was my absolute favourite from the early stages, and I was so thrilled he won. The Americans actually had taste this time. :D Previous year I was such a Chris Daughtry fan and wanted him to win, and then he came third because people kind of screwed up and didn't vote for him when they should've.

Though David/David icks me out and I will not touch it with a pole. Too reminiscent of pedophilia for me. The little kid, though his voice is mature and he's such a great personality and an excellent singer, looks like eleven. SQUICK. How can you do it? :D Though I can't deny the slashiness. Omg, they were so cute. But nothing happens between them for ten years if you ask me. ;)

I wonder if this year's going to prove as successful when it comes to people-who-can-actually-sing and slashiness. Still too early to say.

I adore Cook. He can sing, he has a bit of an attitude, and he looks like he can actually handle the pressure. So yeah!

My first interest in this format came from reading David/David, and had no idea who these people were for a long time. But you know, David A looks young and the oh my gosh makes me crack every time he says it, but I don't see Cook's 24 years making him such a grown up either. Seven years isn't such a huge age difference, and he kinda tries to look tough, but isn't...

Also, they look actually just cute together, no creepy pedo stuff in sight. If I were to write about Simon shagging David A, that'd be creepy. But D2? Just cute.

Heh, now I have an urge to write a Simon/Ryan ficlet where David A actually walks in and watches them boink. That would be... er... hot.
