Dec. 24th, 2002 10:42 pmFinally it's over!!!
Just dragged my old bones back home. 14.5 hours at work behind. Am feeling really fuzzy. Again, running a slight fever.
I remember the ham. Lotsa ham. And kids fighting. And Santa Claus with his red nose. No, it was paint. He was definitely sober.
It was fun to make the kids a real xmas with ham and other traditional food, pressies and songs and all. Still, I always find working this day funny. Basically, because it doesn't mean anything to me. Celebrated Yule a few days ago. I go through the motions, sing the funny xmas elf songs and so on, but there's no real emotion.
Maybe slight disgust at all the materialistic behavior and the butcher of thousands of trees. And pigs.
Shoulda shown the kiddies 'Babe'. Oh, the cruelty!
Now, I'm warm all over. In a few minutes, I'll crawl under the covers and just sleep. Hopefully I'll even dream about something nice.
Like going to see TTT again. With Snowgrouse and her friend. Heh. Hope they won't mind watching it with a lunatic who jumps up and down on her seat with the adrenaline rush and then bursts into tears when King Theoden recites the marvelous poem about the heart of all Rohirrim.
Good night, people.
