Mathom drabbles
May. 7th, 2005 12:53 pmHere are the ones for
snowgrouse (Avon/Tarrant with curls) and
sookail (Snarry with virginal Snape).
Not betaed due to stupid time zones.
Avon/Tarrant
-game-
Tarrant fought to stay quiet as the fingers combed through his hair. The simple touch was a bliss, but he knew that if he showed that, it would all end.
Closing his eyes, he let his mind drift, not lingering in the position he’d found himself in. He could always think about payback later, when Avon wasn’t here, wasn’t cradling his skull so astonishingly gently.
“Mmm...” The soft purr escaped him before he could stop himself.
His eyes snapped open.
The fingers tightened their hold immediately, forcing his head to fall back and expose his neck to the first bite.
Snarry
-end-
Harry stared at the bars on the door, glad that the Death Eaters had finally left them alone.
Probably left them to rot.
Sighing, he slumped down on the floor. "Well, at least I'm not going to die a virgin." It was best to concentrate on the not virgin part instead of the dying part. He was glad there was this one thing in his life that wasn't a total cliché.
Snape let out a muffled snort. “Congratulations, Potter. That must make it all better.”
He wrapped his robes tighter around himself, refusing to call the boy a lucky idiot.
The thing with
smillasnowflake's drabble (Lebannen/Ged) is that... I got kind of carried away. I've had this stupid bunny for ages, so it kind of attacked me and didn't let go.
Therefore, the drabble turned into four. Am so sorry. :D
Lebannen/Ged
-pain-
The Great King looked out of the window, seeing the sea of stars shining above. This was the one moment that was his and his alone, far away from the bustling of the palace. No one was allowed in his private chambers. No one who had the right to enter never wanted to.
His life, his perfect life had turned into a cage, a dreamscape full of memories.
Whenever he allowed himself to think about it, he wondered if this was the desperation he had once fought. Maybe, even though he couldn’t see how anyone could ever defeat this darkness.
-lost-
When he had just been Arren, there had been people he’d trusted, people he’d loved. He’d had freedom and joy and now all that seemed to be lost.
“Arren...” Whispering the word out, Lebannen leaned against the balcony railing, staring far into the east. How foreign that name was now, sounding as strange as the archmage saying his truename out loud for the first time.
He wished he were still that innocent boy. Wished things could change so that he wouldn’t feel so lost. Wished he could see Ged’s face again.
“Oh, I wish...”
The wind carried his words away.
-gont-
A soft breeze made the trees sway from side to side as if they were performing an ages old dance. The rustling of the leaves sounded like a song that had been repeated since the world was young.
Ged tilted his head to the side as the melody changed.
There was an underlying melancholy in the wind today, carrying longing and loneliness so poignant it made his heart ache and resonate with the same feeling.
Without thoughts, he grabbed his walking stick and the small bundle holding his possessions.
The sea was calling to him, and he had to go.
-home-
“My King, you have a visitor.”
“Yes? Who is it?”
The guard hesitated. “He didn’t give me his name. But you should see him.” He had no idea why.
Rubbing his tired eyes, Lebannen laid the parchment he’d been reading on the table. “Show him in.”
He didn’t want to see anyone, but there were so many advisors, ambassadors and other sycophants surrounding him all the time that he could rarely have a moment for himself.
Slowly, a robed figure entered the room, murmuring quietly, “You called for me, so I came.”
Lebannen stared, shock evident on his face. "Ged!"
This was kinda fun. Should probably do this more often, because with drabbles, it's easy to actually finish the damn things and not angst over them for years.
