(no subject)

It's the first actual vacation day. Slept late. dlasta came over and we had fun. So not bad.

I think a short vacation's good for just lazing around. When I have the longer one in August, I think I should go somewhere. It makes me feel like I have more free time when I actually do something instead of just lying on the couch for 3 weeks straight.

Forced ma to watch LXG yesterday. Poor woman. I think she was amused of my constant babble of "Don't Allan and Sawyer look like boyfriends?" But she's a Sean Connery fan, so she survived. She's on sick leave and I am kind of annoyed because I want (okay, need) to spend some time alone.

It's actually funny. I like being around people, but I need to be alone at times or I go insane. I've always said I'm a social hermit. I don't entertain casual friends. People have to be truly interesting for me to hang out with them.

Heh. I bet you all feel so damn proud right now... :D

(no subject)

Because of the horror of LXG yesterday, spent a few hours watching BoB with ma.

I really don't know whether to smack mace_m or hug her for inflicting such obsession on poor innocents... There aren't many miniseries I can watch over and over again, but ever since seeing BoB the first time about six months ago, I've watched it five or six times from the beginning.

They're babbling on the news about lowering the alcohol tax. I don't really care about the older drunks. After living for a decade with a drunken person, I'm completely okay with seeing those people drink themselves to death. Too bad the tax thing also means that youngsters will be able to afford booze more easily from now on.

I'm not an economist, but wouldn't it be better to lower taxes on things like.... let's say food? Or books. Entertainment.
