Woke up all groggy. So no going to the gym or shopping for me. Have the flu.

Well of course I should have known I'd be sick today, after two long work days, I'm sick on my day off. Doesn't surprise me. Am just annoyed.

I think I'll go and lie down for a while. Gah. I hate this.

Fic rant

Been browsing through archives, trying to find fic from the Wire (any Omar/McNulty anywhere? :P) and not finding any. But I did read quite a lot of stuff today.

Most of it bad. Lousy. Even a few hideous ones that made me want to toss my 'puter out of the window.

Stubled into the good old 'matchmaker' syndrome. From the Profiler. George and John lusting after each other. Grace, Rachel and Sam teaming up, trying to get them to admit their love.

Excuse me! Two psychologists and a coroner being stupid enough to mess up with people they call friends? The guys just letting them do that?

No matter how cute that kind of behavior may sound (if you're around 12), it doesn't work in the real world. Those three ladies would have been told that they're meddlesome whatevers and that's it. No smoochies for John and George.

Gods, people. Why the hell do you always have to make your female characters such twats?
