Dragged myself up at some ungodsly hour (okay, at noon...) to get to dlasta's. We had planned shopping and eating and whatever else we do when we do stuff together.

It's totally miserable out there. Raining and windy and kinda gloomy. And it's afternoon. Gods, I hate this time of the year.

Anyway, arrived here at dlasta's. Am now waiting for her to get her stuff ready so we can go out and walk in the rain. Yay... Also just realized that Dom will be nekkid in today's Hetty Wainthropp and I will so totally miss it. Bummer.

It's horrible over here at the moment, though, I suspect, not quite as bad as it can get over there.

At times like this, I think I'd like to live in Australia instead: Christmas on the beach, barbecue weather all year 'round, some of the best wine outside of Europe... There are worse futures to contemplate.

My only consolation: there are huge bugs in Australia. Enormous ones! And scorpions. Spiders the size of a truck.

We're safer in the cold.

Seriously, you have my sympathies. It gets bloody freezing in the north of England, but I know that's nothing in comparison to Finland.
