Was shocked to realize my net access was down. Somehow this seems to happen one way or the other before every damn slashmeet. Just when I need the access to LJ and mailbox the most, the cable dies or the monitor dies.

I wonder what happens next. An alien invasion?

It always takes forever to get to the helpdesk people, but at least they can usually help. Ten minutes of babbling with a young man and I was back online.

This is my only day off before the slashmeet and I'm wondering if I should do some.... er... arranging. Swore that I wouldn't go all insaney with the dusting this time. I'll just pretend the dust bunnies are actually plot bunnies if someone complains. :P But I could do something. Think about food or sleeping arrangements or I could just sit here and read slash.

I think I like that last option best...

I think you should read some horrifically bad slash and then tell about it to us during the weekend :)

I had forgotten that the latest issue of the student magazine I work for comes out on Friday and I must deliver it around and stuff. I won't be free from it before sometime in the afternoon. If you're out in the town somewhere (I don't know when and how Mace is coming) then I could have coffee with you or something. I'm not sure about the dinner and the movie yet. If I can't make it there I'll come to visit you on Saturday or Sunday. I really hate to be this complicated once again, but you don't have to adjust your plans to suit me. Sometime during the weekend I'll just say "Fuck you, thesis!" and come to see you. Can't wait! :)

You know, I've actually read some rather decent slash lately. Should follow people's recs more often... :D

We haven't made any definite plans on the Friday yet. People won't be coming really early, I think, since almost everyone has school or work. Will let you know about the scheduling when I know something.

And yesh! You shall show the thesis who's the boss and then leave to enjoy the company of us insane ones. As you can see from my complete confusion about the whole meet, you won't complicate anything.

No no no! It's not done! I just have to do a presentation on what I'm doing and what I've done so far. And I haven't written a word really yet because my supervisor and I changed pretty much all my plans a couple of weeks ago. But I'd better not think about that now. I'll only have to have about 10 pages to present to other students and the prof on Wednesday next week so it's not impossible.

Sorry, I more or less crashed last night so wasn't online (were you?) to discuss the details of Friday. What it boils down to me is: should I bring all my stuff to work and run around town like a camel or are we making the mattress pick-up thing later in the evening and I could get all my stuff then?

I can ditch the movie, no problem, dinner would be nice so someone needs to make reservations and I'll go along with the rest of the program! Were we going to storm to the sale DVD bin in Anttila? If not on Friday, does anyone want to get dressed on Saturday and go to town?

Was online until the damn connection crashed. Stupid windows update thingy that apparently killed the internet access in more computers than the guys at the helpdesk wanted to count...

Well, Dlasta's seen all the movies, I'm all whatever and I'll have to ask Mace what she says. But we could just go shopping and then have a long leisurly dinner somewhere. If you wish to, we can just pick up the mattress later on, or you can play camel if you want to. :D

Actually, they run away from everyone. Naturally, we don't care and grab whichever kitty that strays near us (usually Arska, he seems a bit dumb for it) and cuddle.
