Aug. 16th, 2004 06:18 pmCame home from London just to realize that my monitor had decided to die. Mourned over her for a while and then rushed to buy another one. There went the money for the new glasses. Damn it!
On the other hand, I now have a cool new monitor! *smooches the monitor*
Am a bit weirded now. After all the whatever today, I still have two weeks vacation left. Which is good. Have a lot to do; mainly dusting the bookshelves and stuff. or maybe I won't even bother. Who cares anyway?
Heh...
Anyway, the slashmeet's in 4 days. Be a dear and drop me a note if you're coming and if we still haven't discussed about where you're going to sleep. Also, we should decice on where to meet and when. Some people have to work/go to school, but I know at least a few will be able to come early. So what's it gonna be?
*squee*
What else... So many things seem to have happened the past week. Oh! I had to sit behind a squealing kiddy on the flight back home. Am still amazed of the amount of the complimentary (with the price I paid for the ticket complimentary my ass) booze they served on the plane. Also, they gave us small bottles of Ouzo in honor of the olympics. Weird. And today, I heard that my straight ones have split up. How sad. Now whom shall I mock when I can't mock them??
Oh the problems I have....

Date: 2004-08-16 12:18 pm (UTC)What time were you (we?) supposed to meet the German lady? I'll try to catch a train that allows me to stop by at your place before we go and rave around town, since I don't feel like dragging my carry-all all around town the rest of the day.

I seem to remember that she would be arriving around 1300, but have to ask. Due to the stupid monitor breaking -incident, I haven't been able to contact anyone... But will ask.
Just let me know at what time you'll arrive. Dlasta is ready to come to my place around noon, so you might want to aim around there or something. Also, are you carrying a lot of stuff? Could come and meet you at the train station.
Heh. Must really be looking forward to this if I'm offering to become a mule. But I've had lotsa practice lately with luggages, so...

Date: 2004-08-16 12:44 pm (UTC)Hmmm... That train would arrive in Helsinki around 11.00 right? That's not bad. Will probably be able to do some snacks shopping on Thursday, so it won't be a problem to come and meet you. Otherwise I'll just spend the day either sleeping (and then can't sleep Friday night) or panicking and dusting the place just in case there's some dust left (read: being stupid).

Date: 2004-08-16 02:24 pm (UTC)Well, I'm definitely not going to forbid you from coming to get my from the station! If you're there, I think we'll manage to get safely back to your place, and won't get lost. The metro does only run in two directions, right? ;-)

Date: 2004-08-16 02:33 pm (UTC)LOL After spending a week being all confused about all the different colors on the London tube grid, I'm so glad to be able to just go into the pretty orange metro and travel with no fuss whatsoever.
I noticed how you commented on booze in your LJ. Is it finally the time to combat in the 'who is the lousiest drunk ever'? Hopefully not. I tend to get really annoying (read: giggle all the time and then make a pass at anyone I think is awfully cute right then) when inebriated. :D Er... Even more annoying than usually, that is.
