I thought I found a good Harry/Snape fic and spent hours reading it. The concept was kind of silly at first (Harry and Snape turning into 7 years old) but the author did seem to know what she was doing. I also liked the way the others had to deal with the fact that their friend was now a child with no adult memories. Ron and Hermione raising the two was hilarious.

Then they turned back to humans [ETA: apparently I don't see kids as humans. I of course meant ADULTS], and the very sharp story turned into a mushy emotional guagmire. EmotionalWreck!Snape appeared. The one with not just lots of traumas, but also the ability to show weaknesses to half the world.

I was pretty disappointed. Thirty years of repression and then after a few months of being a kid, Snape lets go of his suspicion and mistrust.

Did finish reading it, and would rate it above most of the crap in the net, but it was still kind of blaah.

Finns! Are we still doing the Turku thing in two weeks? housemouse? mace_m?

Yes, we are! Because of the difficulties with my internet connection (both home and at work), I haven't been able to squee about it properly.

Well, dropping out of the train (or the bus) any time after 9.00 is fine with me. *g* Just let me know when and where and I'll come to pick you up.

There was some talk about going to the cabin for sauna and swimming (?) and fried sausages. But only if people really want to do that. I don't want to force people in doing that, I just suggested it because it seemed like a summer time activity. Also, staying over night isn't that good of an option, so we'll need to come home to Turku for the night. But the cabin isn't that far away, just 50 minutes with the car.

Is your 'hetero' friend able to join us this time?

I'm not sure how it is with busses, but if three or more people travel together on VR, they are a group, and entitled for 15% price reduction.

I think a trip to the cabin sounds wonderful! I for one love swimming, and hate doing it in a hall during the summer.

LOL Which hetero friend would that be? Sheesh, I'm surrounded by them. At least Dlasta is all yay about the idea of frying stuff. Including our brains, I might add.

Anything special we should do during the weekend? Watch something new? Old? Squee over soldier boys?

Yes yes, I'm all for the cabin trip, must remember to pack bug spray and enough clothes with me (What? This is the Finnish summer: cold and rain unless it's sunshine till you die of thirst). As long as no one is expecting me to light a fire. I suck at lighting fires.

Since I'm apparently internet-less for a while at work, could you send me a text message after your trip to VR? And I should return Dlasta's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Soldier boys are always an excellent idea! But I also have an excellent copy of the Harry Potter movie (which I'll send you later today, if possible), and we could squee about that. *g*

Warm clothes are a good idea, since it never gets all that warm in Taivassalo (too much sea water everywhere), but you don't have to worry about mosquitoes, we have very few of those.

Does anyone have ideas about a schedule of any kind. Should we hop around town first and have lunch or head for the country side immediately? Other ideas?
